Beyond

20/09/15: I’ve always been a big fan of Beyond since the days of the legendary Sharp Boys at the Colosseum, but has it survived life after Vauxhall? I headed for Elephant & Castle, to Beyond’s new home Ministry Of Sound.

Entering the world famous superclub for the first time, all I could think was “Wow, what a venue!”. It was well worth the wait. I was totally impressed by the quality of this ‘no expense spared’ venue. The sounds of D’Johnny were already pumping through room two as I watched the beautiful hot boys of every denomination fill the dance floor.

Joining Little Rob as he went for a cigarette, I realized that even the smoking area is like another room of the club. Everyone is chilling and chatting in good space filled with happy boys and their friendly fag hags. There are even people getting their faces painted by the very talented Rachael from Refab.

I ventured back inside the club to see that room one was open and packed solid! Wall-to-wall half-naked young fit clubbers.

DJ Fat Tony was holding the reigns and commanding the crowd with his back-to-back uplifting house floor fillers, star quality behind the decks and his instinctively good track selection. Then I noticed that Tony’s guest behind the decks is Gender Bender superstar Marilyn, giving me a big clue to who the star DJ is gonna be! The crowd were whipped into a frenzy as the King of Queens himself, Boy George took to the decks and completed what was one amazing party.
