09/04/11: In an ‘Area’ past the old city walls, a place far ‘Beyond’ that of dreamy slumbers, the beautiful creatures came in their masses following the call of the night, conjured up by Steve Pitron, Mikey D, the Sharp Boys, Hifi Sean, Paul Heron, D’Johnny, JC Christopher, Doug’uim, The Oli and Fat Tony; who all worked their magic on the decks. ‘Beyond Midnight’ started six hours prior to our arrival, filling that dark void before your regular ‘Beyond’ would normally kick-off. With twelve hours of music this was a party not to be missed, a pulsing archway under Vauxhall Bridge was breathing life into the night, keeping us dancing until the midday sun. Making sure it wasn’t just our feet that were kept occupied, the four podium dancers served up a feast for our eyes, too. This is one crowd that is about to put New York to bed and make sure London is crowned the city that never sleeps.
