BEYOND ‘TOKYO’
Posted on October 19, 2011
16/10/11: The Shinkansen pulled in to Vauxhall for a second time last Saturday night/Sunday morning as geisha girls and samurai boys took over Area for ‘Beyond Tokyo II – The Rising Sun Returns’ exactly a year after their first visit.
All the stops were pulled out for the décor, production and performers as Elektra and Shaun headed up a coterie of kimono, obi and armoured warriors while musically, with Tony on the Terrace, HiFi in the Chapel and The Sharps ‘bringing it’ (as Kelly Rowland would say) on the main floor, this party rocked some of the best tunes of the year. Beyond delivered yet another show-stopping, ear-popping onslaught of sight and sound. Unbeatably good fun as ever!
Check out more photos from this event and plan your next night out, all in the palm of your hand with the ‘QX Gay London’ iPhone app. Available to download FREE from the iTunes app store.
Area, 67 Albert Embankment, Vauxhall, SE1 7TP
