21/06/15: Beyond is certainly London’s, and probably the UK’s biggest, best and longest running afterhours party, has made it’s home in some of the capital’s most iconic venues and has been on more than one world tour taking in countries right across the globe.
As legends collide, and in the very capable hands of promoter Nadim, the brand is about to embark on potentially the greatest journey since it’s inception, in it’s move to one of the world’s most famous venues, Ministry of Sound, but last Saturday we popped along to Vauxhall for one last dance at Beyond at Fire.
Club favourite Steve Pitron was back for this mammoth send off and rocked the main room alongside guest DJ Nik Denton and Matt Bogard while the Mirror Arch reverberated to the sounds of tech house and techno from Tom Peters and Gonzalo Rivas.
Over in the Fire Lounge the gorgeous Miswhite brought out some classics and on stage Archangel Green Ray and the scorching Beyond dancers brought out their super hero drag for a totally hot Avengers Assemble style show – at least that’s how I saw it!
It was a totally fitting end of an era and I for one can’t wait to turn the page and dive in to the next chapter. Beyond at Ministry… I’m coming to get ya.
