15/03/13: Things got super-human on the neon-drenched dancefloor last weekend as QX Club News hit the Kingsland Road hotspot formerly known as the Russian Bar – now stripped-down, revamped and relaunched as The Shelter, with a spanking new sound system to boot.
A night of devastating underground antics from the Bionic posse saw the likes of veteran deck-master Guy Williams taking on ‘disco queen and party-starter’, Sophie Lloyd, in the DJ booth for a thrill-packed session of rocket-boosted house beats that had a wayward crowd of East-siders working it through the small hours and beyond.
Elsewhere and none other than DJ/rapper/producer legend, QBoy, presided over the hallowed entrance as the crazy capers picked up pace inside with a non-stop soundtrack of kicking club choons rockin’ the block ‘til way past our bedtime.
Bionic continues at The Shelter this Friday, with gravity-defying grooves from Homoelectric’s Jamie Bull, plus Guy Williams and Daniel Irvine!
