20/06/15: QX hit those crazy laser beam disco heights as Blocheads let loose for a sensational instalment at East Bloc last weekend.
Featuring a veritable bloc-bustin’ electro-smorgasbord of decadent DJ sounds and more across two rumblin’ rooms, a night of scintillating shenanigans saw the Blocheads posse pulling in the punters for a rampant rave-up into the dawn.
Electrifying antics of note included legendary DJ daddy, Tom Stephan, wrecking the decks with a thumping three hour set in the main room getting spangly guys ‘n’ gals throwing their hands to the heavens. Next door and Wes dB took on Lucious Flajore for a bijou Bastards pop-up party that had the pair journeying into subterranean synthetic realms by way of low-slung funk, 70s slap-bass and all points in between.
Meanwhile there was plenty more to come on the main floor from Pep Sanchez and Berlin’s Dickey Doo, as the deep and dark beats kept on coming right through ‘til closing time!
