Blocheads

30/04/16: The music and the crowd were as hot as ever in the maze-like bowels of East Bloc this Saturday for the weekly hedonistic revelry that is Blocheads.

The popular basement on City Road was again a-wash with the choicest melodies. The main room was throbbing to the electronic beats spun by Josh Caffe, while Johnny Kalifornia got a groovy pop vibe going on the smaller dancefloor complete with a funky tribute to the late Prince.

Boys and girls, gay and straight, and all those in between were having one hell of a time as they danced that bank holiday weekend night away in glorious style, letting their hair down in wild abandon.

As dawn broke on the empty streets of the Big Smoke, scaling those familiar stairs back to dull reality was an unpleasant wrench only mildly mitigated by the thought of next Saturday on the Bloc.
