Brava: Gods Of Brava

07/06/14: Bloomsbury Ballroom at Victoria House turned its lush Gatsby-esque interiors into proper art-deco-dance with an all-out all-nighter featuring the Wam-Bam DJs, Bannox, Michael Mizrahi, Tony English, Brazil and London superstar Ale Amaral and special guest NYC DJ Hector Fonseca.

Backed by designer Mauricio Cuffaro’s big screen digitals, lighting and explosive cannon fire, we were treated to a Deus Ex Machina in the form of six heavenly bodies led by the renown dancer/choreographer Archangel appearing as Inquisition-era robed monks transforming into caped superheroes.

The cannon fire, muscle-gods, and DJ Fonseca’s teutonic drums and war-cry rhythms pumping up the packed house of shoulders and quads made the airy ballroom feel as if the battallion from 300 had taken over. A high-energy fist-pounding that must have had the Bloomsbury snobs ever-so-flustered about the noises coming from Victoria House.

“This is incredible! I absolutely love this!” crowed Danny Jenkins who trekked it down from Manchester just for this. “I love the Orange Nation parties. They throw the best events. They think of everything!”

If Orange Nation gave us a slice of heaven for Spring; summer is sure to be hotter than hell!
