03/08/13: After the buzz of such a brilliant day, there was no way we were going home early.
As crowds of people swamped the seafront of Brighton’s nightlife, we made our way to former Honey Club – newly named Shoossh – for the official after-party. As warm bodies began packing out the venue and we turned our varsity jersey into a crop top with a permanent pout, we probably looked more stoosh than shoossh.
While we expected a lot of bears in the backspace (no honey, that’s not an innuendo), it was full of everyone that enjoyed the sounds of ‘bear’ residents Severino and Micky Galliano. In the side room we got down with the dutty R&B bass; and you know the jams are good when one of your mates is body rolling.
And he’s white… And straight. (And yes, we joined in). Guy Williams and legendary Steve Pitron made up the ‘Icon’s of House’ alongside cute couple Maze and Masters in the main room where with a sea of hot bodies – we happily threw ourselves overboard.
After drowning in boys and booze we shacked out like nobody’s business. And it wasn’t. Even if we did step on a few dozen toes. The sexy Shoossh was still just warming us up. What? It was only Sunday morning and we said we weren’t going home early!
