01/10/11: Vauxhall went wild for a Janet Jackson spectacular as Carpet Burn raised the roof with a ‘Miss Jackson if You’re Nasty’ megamix that had The Eagle’s nasty boys workin’ it like the dancefloor diva herself last weekend.
Taking in a near-maniacal rundown of La Jackson’s smash hits, courtesy of wardrobe malfunctioning DJ duo, Johnny Kalifornia and Simon Miss Kilner if you’re… (actually, you’ve probably got the idea by now…) QX joined the throng of 80s fans, buff blokes and fashion freaks getting sassy for some of the biggest dance tracks ever to crash the charts.
And with the October heatwave apparently inducing the whole city to come out and party, things proved to be a riot of a night for anyone who likes their clubbing fuelled by cheap booze, free chip sticks and a hefty dose of irony – and we certainly do!
Carpet Burn seems more popular than ever lately, drawing in crowds to rival Eagle Sunday-nighter, Horse Meat Disco. We’re already looking forward to the 3rd birthday party in November – anything could happen!
