29/09/18: The claws were OUT. It was brother against brother in the battle of the gays where two of these queer icons went head to head. Half the room were Vogueing and the other half were doing that weird robot dancing that Kylie did when she couldn’t get something out of her head. It was interesting to see the chilled, early 30’s crowd, bearded crowd at the Eagle turn into screaming school girls when their fave song began blaring out. We were very much when it finally came down to it, of course Kylie is having a real renaissance at the moment, still churning out those top 10 hits, but dear ‘ol Madonna just slayed the Met Ball and is still pissing people off in her 60’s which is just iconic. The only thing that we were certain of was that the cute boy who knew every word to La Isla Bonita was the cutest thing we’ve seen in a while.
