12/07/14: QX Club News hit London’s fabulous Eastside as Brooklyn four-piece collective Cheryl launched an all-out art-attack at Dalston Superstore last Saturday.

Rockin’ the Kingsland Road block for basement-blastin’ DJ sounds and a whole lot more, a creative crush of a get-together saw the NYCers transforming the capital’s hipster HQ into a carnivalesque fantasy of collaborative art, metallic decor and impromptu installations that had QX Club News puzzling over the whole darn thing’s deeper meaning into the small hours.

Highlights included the likes of legendary Larry Tee, DJ Nick and Father Figures ripping it up with low-slung beats downstairs as a chaotic crowd got tangled in a glittering forest of silver and gold streamers on the dancefloor.

Upstairs, a cast of Cheryl extras busted kiddies party creations, bedecked in crowns and dressed as playing cards, as Whitney Weiss and DJ Traviesa slammed down a giddying soundtrack of ironic tunes from Stevie Nicks to Madonna that had the frantic assembly squealing in delight.

Meanwhile, there was plenty of action out front with the proceedings spilling into the summer evening air as the fun and frolics continued through ‘til late. Check out the Dalston Superstore delights this Saturday as Little Gay Brother raises the roof for a stormin’ Lovebox After Party!
