14/09/13: We’re always up for a new club night, so when the online blog cocktailandcocktalk.com announced it was throwing its first soiree to celebrate two years of hilarious hedonism and ratchet one night-stands, the QX team went down to check out the hype. And although the weather was more disappointing than a five-minute thrashing with a flaccid Grindr shag – we weren’t gonna let that stop us.
Creator Anthony Gilét hosted like a true socialite (with a Paris Hilton perma-pout) while among the crowd of cute boys and club kids, hosts Darren Palfrey, Andrew Moore and Nick Byam got everyone involved.
Sporting more bling than Amy Child’s vajazzle, Maximus Crown kick-started the night with some irresistible R&B, before Mark Ashley Dupé dropped the funky house that had fags, hags and drags living. Finally Matt Bogard closed the night with underground house beats that were dirtier than Ralph Harris in the 90s. Come 3am, everyone was totally Ke$ha’d – but not ready to stop!
“Friday the 13th: Unlucky for some… Carnage for others” proclaimed the event invite – and it wasn’t lying, because ‘carnage’ was apt. And you know Carrie Bradshaw never partied this hard. We’re hoping it will be the first event of many!
