Collabro @ G-A-Y

26/07/14: QX Club News battled an arena-sized mass on Villiers Street as G-A-Y supremo Jeremy Joseph staged a Britain’s Got Talent vs The Voice spectacular at Heaven last Saturday.

A capacity crowd gave it up for The Voice 2013 runner up, Leah McFall, showcasing stonking new single ‘Home’, plus a jazzy take on Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive’ that had her hitting enough Minnie Rippertonesque squealy high notes to shatter train windows at Charing Cross Station.

Meanwhile, the G-A-Y fans unleashed a tsunami of hysteria on BGT winners, theatrical five-piece Collabro, as the dreamy hunks tore through their repertoire of stage and cinema musical classics, including the rousing likes of ‘Let it Go’, ‘Bring Him Home’ and ‘Stars’, with an aplomb which will surely see their debut album soaring to the top of the charts.

Meanwhile, the remainder of the Collabro guys showed their solidarity with gay group member, Jamie Lambert, for a heart-warming performance of Whitney Houston’s ‘How Will I Know’, without changing any of the ‘hes’ to ‘shes’, getting us melting inside just a little bit. But with the live extravaganza over, there were still hours of more thrills to be had with five rampant rooms of pop, dance and R&B through ‘til the morning at the West End’s biggest weekly Saturday-nighter.

Don’t miss world-conquering pop diva, Anastacia, at G-A-Y this weekend!
