DEVIATE

14/01/12: We love it when a party club-hops to give us new venues to play in, and this weekend Deviate rocked our world when it went over to Factory for its most recent outing.

The quirky angular rooms, the split level balconies and the great circular flow make this compact club one of our favourite arch conversions in London, and with the maestro himself Pagano at the helm the main room was amazing.

As well as the great tunes and the superb atmosphere, a whole host of freaks, trannies and other edgy performers worked the tops of the podia and speakers to provide a visual buffet that complemented Prickimage’s wacky visuals to a life-like degree (we’re not joking… next time you hit the podium here, check out what’s displayed on-screen!).

With a snow monkey Jonny Woo, Antonio Gigliotta, a leather-clad dominatrix and a muscled hunk-chunk in a leather jock, there was something for everyone. And if this beefy muscle-boy playground got too much, then in room 2, Tasty Tim and Massimo Paramour were strumming up a lighter, funked-up house version. What a marvelous hot mess!
