15/02/14: Home to an astounding line-up of top-class club nights, from the likes of Tonker and Horse Meat Disco, to R18 and Trannyshack, Vauxhall’s Eagle marked a decade entertaining the masses with a spectacular 10th Birthday Ball last Saturday.
Drawing in the butch, the buff and all those in between for a scintillating soiree that had Eagle fans raising the roof into Sunday morning, the crew pulled out all the stops for block rockin’ DJ sounds, birthday giveaways and a whole lot more.
Dazzling antics at the decks saw Horse Meat royalty, Jim Stanton, leading the charge with a classic house ‘n’ disco set causing a pile-up on the dancefloor, with even more to come from the luminary likes of Martyn Fitzgerald, Little John, Robb White and Simon Kilner.
Elsewhere, the clientele availed themselves of celebratory bubbles and nibbles and grabbed free shots amidst the mad melee. Meanwhile, there was plenty of action in the ever-popular Eagle garden, despite the frozen conditions outside, as the throng took a breather from the hot happenings indoors before diving back into the fray right through ‘til way past our bedtimes.
The thrills continue at the Eagle this weekend, with Tonker on Friday and Horse Meat Disco on Sunday. Congratulations to everyone at the Eagle on 10 fantastic years!
