EAGLE 8TH BIRTHDAY
Posted on February 15, 2012
11/02/12: Vauxhall hit the jackpot for a birthday bonanza as Eagle London celebrated eight rollicking years at the very forefront of the capital’s world-beating gay scene last weekend.
Home to some of the coolest club nights on the planet, the likes of Horse Meat Disco, bijou bears’ bash Tonker, and the retro-rampaging Carpet Burn have been raising the roof on Kennington Lane for many a season, and Saturday’s anniversary extravaganza only provided us with yet another excuse for a knees-up of epic proportions at one of our fave homo hotspots.
Featuring a classic Eagle mash-up of top tunes, top totty and tarty trannies, resident DJ star, Luke Howard, rocked the house with a barrage of party bangers that had the masses rushing to the dancefloor, whilst transatlantic trolley dollies, Danny and Jeremy, gave us the club class treatment with bubbly and shots – and all for free!
Meanwhile, hungry hunks made the most of the midnight running buffet, with QX stuffing ourselves with teensy, tiny chipolatas – and let’s face it, that’s all we’re used to.
As if that wasn’t enough to keep excitable gays occupied through the night, a veritable feast of stage shows, freebie scrums, outside antics and more ensured the anniversary went off with a bang. Dig the deepness this Saturday as Deep Inside returns to the Eagle for vintage house and club classics all nite long!
Check out more photos from this event and plan your next night out, all in the palm of your hand with the ‘QX Gay London’ iPhone app. Available to download FREE from the iTunes app store.
