EAGLE 9TH BIRTHDAY

09/02/13: QX Club News hit top Vauxhall hotspot, Eagle London, as the crew celebrated an amazing nine years of first class partying with a dazzling display of disco, decadence and debonair dudes last Saturday.

Home to such luminescent club nites as Tonker, Carpet Burn and, somewhat current, Horse Meat Disco, the Kennington Lane landmark holds a place dear in the heart of anyone with a love of underground house, 70s disco and rough ‘n’ ready guyz – to which its long-running popularity bears solid testament.

Reflecting on nearly a decade of outlandish antics, veteran DJ duo, Jim Stanton and Severino were on hand at the decks with a soundtrack that had the cosmopolitan crowd raving it up on the bijou dancefloor into the small hours.

Elsewhere, a full-on, free midnight buffet put paid to those hunger pangs and helped soak up all the free shots being doled out in generous fashion.  Meanwhile, we’ve all heard the sad tale of the ‘Little Match Girl’ but weren’t familiar with the story about buff ‘Little Fag Boys’ circulating amidst the assemblage selling ciggies.

What will the inventive team come up with next?  Many happy returns to everyone at Eagle London.  We’re already looking forward to next year’s big one!
