11/01/14: Saturday night saw the stage at G-A-Y turned over to the youngsters starting with new kid on the block Elyar Fox.
Fresh from supporting Union J on tour, the 18 year old Elyar (real name Elyar Afshari) opened with Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ before performing his debut single ‘Do It All Over Again’ which is currently in the top 10 iTunes singles charts. Next up, it was the finale to the G-A-Y X Factor season with runner-up Nicholas McDonald.
With a clutch of tracks from his performances on the TV show including Adele’s ’Someone Like You’, ‘Superman (It’s Not Easy)’ and 1D’s ‘Story Of My Life’, the 17 year old gave a confident and chatty performance way beyond his years.
The X Factor machine has now rolled out of town but that doesn’t mean an end to the big names at G-A-Y, indeed there are some great surprises coming up in the near future… Watch this space.
