21/02/14: There are few nights out that we love more than a reunion of our entire friendship circle. But this Saturday, we weren’t the only ones reuniting; 90s girl group Eternal were also reforming on the G-A-Y stage. And what’s more, they were joined by one of our favourite newcomers to the music scene, Foxes.
We warmed up the dance floor to the sounds of commercial pop before stepping to the front of stage and unleashing our inner ‘Youth’. Foxes emerged in front of the crowd in a cute prom-style dress that looked just like the one we wore to our Leaver’s Ball. As instructed we ‘Let Go For Tonight’ and clubbers were literally living when the star belted out ‘Clarity’; not that we had much. We definitely had to regroup and take a breather (and a few more shots) after that skank out that would put Azalea Banks to shame. The infectious sounds of Foxes were perfectly complimented by the old school sounds of Eternal, when the entire club sang along to ‘Angel Of Mine’ and R&B classic ‘I Wanna Be The Only One’. Needless to say, we had exerted ourselves by the end of the night, but was it worth it? Obviously. And will we be back very soon? Duh.
