Fever

19/04/14: Barcode drove us to a fever-pitch with the aptly themed Fever last Saturday and it was hot enough to fry our Easter eggs!

Manager Michal and his hardy crew, along with endearing hostess Isis, made sure their two club rooms were packed with every bunny who was any-bunny hoppin’ and boppin’ to the hottest DJs in town.

The club bar cranked up the way-back machine and “went back to our roots” with some retro-disco and a hot mix of Afro-Latin funk house beats streaming from the fingertips of DJs Carl, Jason Prince and Michael Mileti.

The main room, ‘Happy House’, featured ‘music to make you smile’ courtesy of DJs Stevie B, Steve Geller and the Sharp Boys and rumbled and buckled with such fierce bass you’d think it was the second coming! Maybe it was but we were too busy dancing to notice. The clubs were packed to overflowing with a hulking mix of some serious muscle, twirling clubbers, freewheelin’ fems and more than a few Easter bunnies who put their baskets down and got busy shakin’ their cotton tails.

“It’s all about laid-back people socialising with each other,” Mgr. Michal put it into perspective. Barcode proved that ‘funk never sleeps’ as Fever transitioned into UnChill after-hours, taking our weekend into Sunday morning.
