FITLADZ

14/06/13: After a busy week in the QX office, we weren’t quite sure if we’d have the energy for our usual weekend of partying and even considered a Friday night indoors.

However, Steve Darragh called and invited us down to Barcode, where his twice-weekly night, Fitladz, was in full swing and we couldn’t say no. We didn’t have our trackies on, but Steve assured us there’s no dresscode at Fitladz.

Scally gear is just encouraged, so, in a t-shirt and jeans, we jumped on the tube to Vauxhall. On arrival, we were glad to see, although there’s no strict dress code, that a large amount of men there had chosen to get into the Fitladz mood and turn up looking like they were about to go drink cider in the park.

There were baseball caps, tracksuits, football shorts and polo T-shirts galore. Best bit is that after dancing to the tunes provided by PJay and Steven Gellar, we discovered that the upstairs was turned into a dark room!

After downing two vodka shots we snuck upstairs and then, after getting our bearings in the dark, proceeded to pull down more tracksuit bottoms than we’d ever admit publicly.

If you want a horny night of good music and men dressed like they might mug you, then we’d certainly recommend you get down to Fitladz on a Friday or Sunday night.
