25/06/16: Following the day-time proud merriment in the West End, the party had moved east in the evening.
The now notorious dance and cruise club Fitladz had taken over East Bloc for quite a unique experience, this Saturday. The usual mixed crowd of East Bloc regulars was joined by a leaner and meaner contingent looking to quench its raging thirst for fun at that self-styled “Spunktacular Pride party”.
Thirsty lads, some still in their Pride outfit, with smudged rainbow make-up on their cheeks, took advantage of the new opportunities offered by the small room. It had been closed off and turned for the occasion into a more… erm… intimate area, a sign at the entrance stipulating this was for “ladz only”.
A chance to let off even more steam, no doubt, after the day’s excitement. DJs Richard Harrington, Riano, and Stevie B were lending a helping hand in whipping up the atmosphere to climactic auditory release and it was clear that everyone was getting all the fun they could get.
The cream on top of the gay-Christmas cake.
