12/08/11: So Fitladz, one of the gay scene’s institutions for those fans of the scally and sport-attired lad, dressed in his grey Adidas trackie bottoms and NYC cap, returned triumphantly to Barcode Vauxhall last Saturday night. We walked in to an excited group of roused-up chavvy gents watching a gorgeous and athletically defined black scally strip off on stage in a display of erotica that got the night off to a hot and heady start.
An intriguing mix of the young and old, shaven-headed and ear-pierced hung about the bar which had an old school cruising atmosphere to it, whilst various DJs kept the crowd happy with some Fitlads classics mixed with some fresh meat sounds, and upstairs there was the famous dark room – designed for he who dares! And rest assured it’s generally a daring man who appears to be your typical Fitladz regular.
Overall this was a good return for a renowned club night that shows it will run from strength to strength in its new home at Barcode Vauxhall.
