G-A-Y - SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR

G-A-Y – SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR

26/03/11: Well, we know Sophie Ellis-Bextor always causes a stir when she appears at G-A-Y, but even we thought the riots on the streets of the West End last Saturday were a bit OTT! (And is it just us or does UK Uncut sound like a dodgy porn title!?) Anyhoooo, after battling through police and burning cars on the streets of London, we joined the capacity crowd on the safety of the main floor at Heaven as the daughter of mighty Janet performed her new single ‘Not Giving Up On Love’ and ‘Bittersweet’ from forthcoming new album ‘Make A Scene’, as well as dance floor hits ‘Groovejet’, ‘Murder On The Dance Floor’ and Freemasons megamix ‘Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer)’. There was a close call as she almost crowd-surfed across the up-stretched arms, but the adoration of thousands of kept her in check and the show rolling along. Fantastic.
