28/04/17: If you’ve read the very popular (and, we think, highly-readable) novel Guapa, you’ll know that its author, Saleem Haddad, knows a thing or two about welcoming watering holes. So it wasn’t too much of a surprise to bump into him and his man in the basement of the eminently accepting Glory on Friday for the latest edition of Homo Superior. This month, the night was paying homage to mistress of the wardrobe of fabulousness and drag queen extraordinaire RuPaul. The place was indeed turned into RuPaul’s best friend race and everybody was werking it very hard indeed, sashaying away to a mix of the campest tunes you could find, dished out by a super-excited Sina Sparrow (upstairs) and a bewigged Panos Z down below. Simply sickening!
