GUTTERBALL

13/10/12: Whitechapel’s Rhythm Factory was host to this year’s GutterBall once more, and QX was there to partake in its frivolities.

As expected it was colour colour and more colour on the menu as the die hard crowd of GutterSlutters and guest co-club Sink The Pinkers dished it up! It was truly totally amazing stuff from the likes of Gaffy Gaffiero and Kirsty McKenzie, a couple of stunners who come to mind! Next door, Sink The Pink hosted Room 2 with such imagination going into the costumes and looks – fabulous stuff.

On the decks was cheeky Per QX, whipping the crowd into a dance frenzy, generating an amazing atmosphere as ever. This was East End clubbing at its best. Taking over on the decks, Nic Fisher continued the night’s great music until the GutterBall catwalk show commenced.

Hosted by the fantastic Jonny Woo, dressed in what I can only say looked like a ‘Gypsy Cher Bono’ number, my God were we in for a real treat of trannies, mannies and no-namies, slinking their style and bootying up that catwalk. Moving their ting up, down and every which way they could, it was shocking fun!

Jonny Woo performed a quick-change into a Farrah Fawcett trashy glam look, before they continued on with the comp, ushering in the finalists. Top prize on the night, Queen of GutterBall 2012 and a monster 9” dildo prize went to ‘Blah Blah’ – a pair as christened by Mister Woo, for the simple reason that they were so lost in the moment they could not give him their names!

What better inauguration than to win the GutterBall and have Jonny Woo give you your new drag name?! The pair was born. What a fab night!
