28/07/12: GutterSlut made a welcome return to the wilds of Shoreditch last weekend as the crew hijacked East Bloc for a ‘What Olympics?’–themed bash that saw a wild posse of Eastsiders paying scant regard to historic events taking place a mere Olympian javelin’s throw up the road.
An electrifying party of near-frenzied proportions featured promotional pair and resident DJ duo, Per QX and Nic Fisher, welcoming a crowd of fashion freaks, big-hair-boys and sexy studs for a sweaty mash-up across two bijou-bonkers rooms that had one of Shoreditch’s most finger-on-the-pulse venues resembling a collision between legendary 80s night club, Blitz, and some sort of underground cave-rave.
Highlights included we-love-you-long-time GutterSlut heroine, Miss Crystal MC, winding up the throng for a warped set from D’Johnny on the main floor.
Next door, and a rampaging rabble got down for a Disco Room micro-clubbing mash-up on the teensy-tiny dancefloor, complete with mini-bar and roof-raising beats from Jacqui Potato and JonBenet Blonde as the outlandish antics carried on into the dawn.
