Homoelectric @ Dalston Superstore

05/09/15: On Saturday night we headed to Dalston to hang out with the fashionistas.

Manchester’s premier LGBT night Homoelectric was in town – hosted by seasoned DJ and general heartthrob Jamie Bull and gang – and they were taking over Dalston Superstore for a dance inferno across both floors. The night promised “heart-thumping, soul-nourishing disco goodness!” and man, did they deliver! We walked in to a remix of ‘Let’s Have a Kiki” – and moonwalked our way through the crowd of smiling indie hunks to order one of the clubs infamous cocktails. Tasty guys filled the club from one side of the room to the other – it was a buff boy buffet (all you can eat). The atmosphere was cool, trendy and jovial – when Madonna’s ‘Hung up’ came on – I was pleasantly surprised – I’ve never seen so many gay men get their legs above their heads. After a few drinks, I made my way down to the basement room – where I bobbed my head to dance tunes in the chilled, smoky ambiance – as I grinded against yet more delicious men. Here’s hoping Homoelectric returns back to town soon.
