19/12/10: Feeling particularly fruity and festive, just before the fat bloke came down our chimney, we popped along to Horse Meat Disco for their own particularly blokey brand of seasonal shenanigans. Sporting a rather fetching turkey on his head, resident DJ James Hillard kept the flavour of the sounds funky and retro for the attitude-free – we-like-a-bop-and-a-pint crowd – and as the clock struck 12, a special seasonal treat in the form of Imagination’s Leee John provided the entertainment with ‘Burnin’ Up’, ‘Music And Lights’, ‘Flashback’, ‘Bodytalk’ and ‘Just An Illusion’, as well as material from his new project for 2011. Another cracking HMD night out .
