02/04/16: Just when you thought you’d never have another sniff of them, Les Poppeurs are back.
Not even David Cameron could keep them down! On Saturday night Superstore’s seminal Italo-disco night returned to Dalston, bringing with it hot girls, even hotter boys, a cadre of super-talented DJs and a queue that stretched all the way down Kingsland High Street.
Poppeurs power couple Whitney Weiss and Rachael delivered to us a perfect night, word of which spread so fast, that it was one-in-one-out on the door by midnight!
Gorgeous Glaswegian HiFi Sean, Mancunian ballroom boy CVNT TRAXXX and Whitney (fresh from the illegal open-air raves of Buenos Aires) kept us bouncing in the basement, while blonde bombshell Nova Dando and our favourite smoky vixen Rachael hit us with their rhythm sticks upstairs.
Boys kissed, kweens twirled, drinks were swilled and spilled and the music kept us all moving to 3am, as cutie-pie Freddy Krave captured the action on camera. As always, Les Poppeurs left us with one hell of a headache the morning after, but it was definitely worth it.
