20/09/14: QX Club News found ourselves shipwrecked on neon-ripped disco shores in nothing but the teensiest scrap of leopard skin as Little Gay Brother presented a twisted ‘Desert Island Dicks’ bash at Dalston Superstore last weekend.
Featuring two rampaging rooms of totally tropical beats, a crowd of Swiss Family Robinson ravers took on Clayton Wright’s flamboyant fantasy island club kids for a palm-fringed dance-off into the dawn at one of the capital’s wildest party HQs.
Highlights saw legendary bone-daddy DJ, Paul Heron, coming over all voodoo-cannibal Shamanic in the basement for some of the bumpiest house beats this side of the Bermuda Triangle. Upstairs and Terry Vietheer did his hunky Hawaiian-shirted best for ironic retro classics accompanied by booty-hugger go-go dancing on the bar.
Meanwhile, the throng went completely head-shrinker-tribe-in-ritual-sacrifice-to-the-music-gods for the likes of Tim Fanucci, Frank.co, James Phillips and Midnight Chardonnay conjuring sun-kissed party bangers and scary dance monsters right through ‘til closing time.
