LOVEBOX ‘WARM DOWN’: DALSTON SUPERSTORE
Posted on June 17, 2012
17/06/12: Kingsland Road was the place to be as QX Club News tripped the neon-night fantastic for a storming Lovebox afterparty at Dalston Superstore last weekend.
With the threatened deluge having failed to materialise on Sunday afternoon, spirits were high and clubbers were dry (until they hit the dancefloor at least!) as a heaving crowd of Eastenders ran amok across two thrill-packed floors of post-festival fun and frolics.
Channelling enough summer vibes to get us rushing to the bar for cocktails all round, the ‘Superstore superstar DJ line-up included the likes of Hannah Holland, Gutterslut DJs, The Lovely Jonjo, Rokk, Mikki Most and Squeaky, smacking those beats up at the decks for a veritable vortex of hipster pop grooves and cutting edge killer bleeps that had the joint erupting in a rush of skinny jeans and eyeliner.
Meanwhile, given her headline slot at Victoria Park, the QX crew found it incumbent upon ourselves to recreate Grace Jones’s ‘Jubilee hula-hoop spectacular’ on the basement dancefloor, albeit without an actual hula-hoop – but why quibble?
Check out the Dalston Superstore action this weekend with Supermax on Friday, Legendary Children on Saturday and Sink the Pink Presents: A Night of the Thousand Rihannas on Sunday!
