26/03/11: It was the Mr. Eagle final. The six contestants introduced by the host, Dorian Black… who I’m pretty sure was keeping the £1,000 prize money in his underwear – well, what else could cause that bulge love? Three finalists were chosen by four judges; Out magazine’s David Hudson, Peter from ‘Bootcamp’, our very own QX editor Cliff Joannou (only the best for Eagle darling!), and Rob representing event sponsor Manhunt, who along with Expectations presented the runner-up prize valued at £400. The audience added their votes to crown leather kilt wearing David the winner. With his hairy buff chest and cheeky smile, he was secretly my favourite, but then I’ve always been told I have an eagle eye. Tonker’s Tim Jones followed on the decks, spinning his magic as the sexy Manhunt boys filled my hands (with merchandise, get your minds out of the gutter). I hardly noticed that we’d lost an hour in time… well, its better than most other nights when I lose my dignity!
