16/03/13: There are few better reasons for going out than the opportunity to stare at hot guys and judge on appearances. Or so I’m told.
The gay scene loves a beauty contest. But, whereas Mr. Gay UK favours the pretty boys, it was all about the men being men down at The Eagle in Vauxhall. The Mr. Eagle competition returned for 2013 and was again no place for pageantry and hopes for world peace.
Sashes were swapped for furry chests and skimpy swimsuits were more likely to be switched for leather jockstraps. As free shots were poured and drinks offers flowed, the atmosphere grew tense as the night offered more than mere victory.
With £500 at stake, a weekend in Amsterdam, clothing and the opportunity to compete for the dizzy heights of International Mister Rubber in Chicago, the gloves were off and the stubble was out, but it was horny hunk David that took the top prize!
Even those not competing struck their best poses as Horse Meat Disco’s James Hillard played a special set for the night. Winner or not, it was a fun night where Photoshop and fake fan was left out in the cold and a bit of rough managed to score.
