29/10/10: Night creatures called and the dead started to walk in their super-funkin’ masquerade as QX Club News cloven-hoofed it down to Vauxhall for an Onyx ‘Apocalypse’ Halloween spectacular last Friday. Featuring a cast of thousands giving it up for an end of the world blow-out, DJ sounds were to die for with the likes of Lisa German getting the crowd screaming with six-feet-underground grooves on the Terrace and Lady Lloyd ripping up a soundtrack of blood-curdling pop beats in The Chapel. Meanwhile, Thiago Drewery and his ghoulish go-gos took to the stage in a flurry of raven feathers for a dazzling show before queen of the night, Abigail Bailey, put a stiletto-heeled stamp on the evening with a thunderous performance of her biggest club anthems, including dancefloor mega-smash ‘Something On Your Mind’. Elsewhere, Phil Marriott led the pumping house charge in the main room, with further fiendishly turbo-boosted beats to come from Lee Harris. Here’s to more monster mash-ups at one of the wildest work-outs in London!
