15/05/16: London’s longest running Sunday dance destination is growing week after week with its new sound, new look and new vibe courtesy of Steven Artis
Indeed, as the ad says, the future’s bright, the future’s Orange. This week’s fruit stalls featured Chris Parker on the decks in the Boombox Disco Lounge spinning disco house and Alex Georgiou, Nik Denton and Gonzalo in the main room with classic, vocal and tech house.
Again the main room was decorated with more ornaments than a dress from Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, all gleaned from Closet Artis no doubt, while a particularly young and buff crowd cavorted under the LED ceiling.
A personal highlight was the sight of Glendora twirling her wig around her head like a cow girl with a lasso. She’s no Annie Oakley but she does always get her man. Fierce.
