Pop Horror @ RVT – Wednesday 12th April 2017
It’s Halloween in springtime! Or at least, that’s how it felt and looked on Wednesday at the RVT for Pop Horror’s Cher Witch Project. Celebrating their first birthday, they really pulled out all the stops with some serious talent. The huge and spooky lineup included Not Another Drag Competition hopeful Taylor Trash, who served us some real southern sass; Cybil War, who donned some terrifying makeup as she channeled serial killer Aileen Wournos for her stunning performance; and going full zombie style, the incredible Meth wrapped up the show with her version of Bang Bang, complete with mega realistic make-up! The wonderfully creepy Baby Lame was also on hand to keep things running smoothly. To top off the night, in real pop music/horror film mash-up style, an edit of all the Final Destination deaths played backwards to If I Could Turn Back Time, which was fabulously gorey. And if that wasn’t enough, there was cake and goodie bags. So basically it was the best ever.
