01/06/15: The outside air may have been thick with drizzle, but inside Heaven Popcorn were celebrating the coming of the sun as they launched their summer season with Solar, an Aztec-inspired party.
Music mayhem on the main floor came courtesy of über hottie Adam (“it’s this big, honest”) Turner, and as always, the Popcorn dancers served up a visual feast as Incan warriors in Adidas high-tops (apparently they’re authentic) met Mayan princesses.
Elsewhere in the club, all rooms were open and dishing out aural delights to a ravenous crowd rich with Italian meat – and we do love our salami – with one of my personal highlights being cabaret darling Nancy Clench on the dance floor raving old school style with lasers on her fingers. Genius.
Backstage it was a double celebration as Popcorn’s regular gogo hunk Anderson shared his birthday with VIP door-whore Kitty Vulgaris, interrupted only by Candy Vanity Heals, a vision in, um, yellow, throwing herself on a pile of man-meat and screaming “touch my boobs”.
Rumour has it next week she’ll have some competition as the big boobed Brazilian bombshell Adrianna is back in town. Them’s some fireworks you don’t wanna miss.
Salty or sweet, Popcorn’s the treat that can’t be beat.
