Queer Nation

14/12/13: ‘Tis the season for parties to be jolly at. And QX was looking forward to this one. Barcode Saturday night had an urban treat in store in the shape of Queer Nation’s Xmas Party!

Welcomed in by super nice promoter Patrick Lilley, playing disco and soft-on-the-ear vocal house tunes, which lulled us into a smooth state of Christmas cheer and warmed us up like a few good mulled wines *hiccup, hiccup*. The ‘Code was filling up nicely with a sexy crowd and you could feel the party building.

Excitement was in the air. Then, in strutted resident DJs Mista Pierre and Mark-Ashley ‘Supa’ Dupé. Mark settled in after Patrick and hit us with his uplifting R&B, house vibe, which the crowd went wild for. Mista Pierre slinked off through the crowds to the back room, slamming the tunes hard and fast in, and within minutes the whole of Barcode was on fire… So too were the crowd!

An amazing night, very cool staff – a great event guys. Barcode is such a friendly space to relax and party. Bring on the next event!
