01/01/12: ‘Start as you mean to go on’ has always been a favourite mantra of ours, so the 1st January saw us polishing our boots and squeezing into impossibly tight rubber as Recon’s international party bus pulled in to Southwark for Full Fetish at Arcadia.
The five arches and outside areas were transformed in to mazes, playrooms, passion pits and all round sleazy arenas of fun with the capacity crowd attiring themselves appropriately in leather, latex, skin gear, sportswear and more.
The main dance floor was ruled over by the dirty sounds of DJs Gordon John and Jon Delano, while cure Chris Brogan kept the back bar captive with hi funky and commercial beats, and with much butt slapping and other deviant fun going on throughout the venue, it was a very satisfying climax to 2011 and kick-off to 2012.
