08/06/18: We’re massive fans of nights like this because the crowd come here specifically for the music. You see, people who like schlager REALLY LIKE schlager. Apart from the odd boyfriend who’d been dragged along looking a little sheepish, the RVT was full of euro-pop mega fans who knew their Andrea Jürgens from their Andrea Bergs. It made for a very pan-European atmosphere and we were momentarily shocked when we walked outside to the grim exterior of Vauxhall bus station rather than a glorious plaza. Oh well.
