31/12/11: Sink the Pink has a reputation for being one of the most fun nights around on the East End scene with a refreshingly ‘anything goes’ attitude welcoming all to its beating heart.
Popping up from place to place on the Shoreditch and Dalston clubscape it was fitting that on the cusp of 2012 it should arrive at Dalston Superstore, always a fantastic venue for a dazzling party.
Upstairs saw boys in sailor suits and purple-haired trannies dancing on the bar, hands on the air conditioning pipes, as icon-esque DJ Holestar spun some fantastic tunes.
And downstairs the underground club heaved and pulsed with huge sounds, green and red lasers rippling over the assembled clubbers, and everyone I saw had a smile on their face. A combination of Sink the Pink and the ‘Superstore crew promised to be a very special night and the New Year’s Eve extravaganza proved it!
