07/06/14: When we heard that Songs of Praise would be inviting East London’s favourite party girl, Debbie, to shake it at the ‘Bloc, we pulled on our sluttiest boots and bootiest shorts, poised for another night of pure pop perfection and girl, we got it!
In the packed-out main room, David Oh and Neil Prince were calling the shots, with musical treats courtesy of the most fearsome females, from Madonna to the almighty Aloud.
Bumping in the back room with DJs Sina Sparrow and Bitchcakes, woman of the hour Debbie was giving us ‘something kinda ooh’ indeed. Kelis’ milkshake must have curdled in the heat, because Debs is the one bringing all the boys to the yard these days! With not a fella to be found on this lady’s playlist, all the lads had to do was shut up and DANCE to the likes of Iggy, Courtney & Britney. Who needs men anyway?
Ok fine, we do, we really do. So Songs of Praise made sure we didn’t go wanting, topping up our testosterone levels in the Macho Room with the living Tom of Finland tag team known as Chris Camplin and Terry Vietheer. These two hot and hairy hunks gave us a welcome dose of man with their thick, throbbing beats and beautiful beards.
Will Debbie be doing ‘da Bloc’ again? We sure as hell hope so!
