Songs of Praise

05/09/15: QX grabbed our cassocks and hit those sizzling East End streets for the last ever Songs of Praise at East Bloc last weekend.

Featuring three romping rooms of pumpin’ pop smashes, ravishing retro grooves and a whole lot more, a hip ‘n’ happening crowd made it a farewell bash to remember at one of London’s hottest homo hangouts.  Halo-slinging highlights on the dancefloor included a heavenly chorus at the decks from the Sugarlow Boys and David Oh with classic and contemporary floor fillers getting the masses genuflecting amidst the laser beams.  Next door and dastardly DJ stud, Chris Camplin, had the throng throwing their hands up into the small hours for a block rockin’ party mash up in room two.  Meanwhile, there were candy-coated pop thrills galore in the teensy weensy room 3, with non-stop anthems from We Love Pop and Johnny Kalifornia.  Songs of Praise, you may be gone but you’ll never be forgotten!
