23/06/13: Ealing landed firming on the gay map last weekend with not one, not two, but three brand new club events opening on the same night just a stone’s throw apart, and as we found out when we trotted out west for Sunday Night On Broadway there is definitely something for everyone.
The main venue, Karma Chameleon, is a modern nightclub space with plenty of leather banquette seating, a screened off glass balcony and great sight lines over the dance floor for people watching.
A coterie of almost nude gogos kept our interest until the main attraction, the Cheeky Girls, took to the stage with a handful of upbeat ‘cheeky’ tracks and even a version of abba’s ‘Daddy Cool’.
Meanwhile, upstairs in the opulently lush Club Harem, there was a bevy of tranny beauties including darling of the cabaret circuit and hostess Miss Tanya Hyde, Soho chic in the form of DJ Munroe Bergdorf and even a Supreme Fabulette, the gorgeous Vanilla Lush, surrounded like tropical blooms by a buzzing mass of admirers.
And as if that wasn’t enough, just next door the delicious Dean Monroe played ringmaster to a posse of pole maestros in Boyztown where we found ourselves whiling away the night in the private dancing booths.
For west Londoners Sunday Night On Broadway is just a hop and a skip away for a great night out, and for those of us that have to travel a little bit further there are easy and direct night buses in to central London.
