Super Electric Party Machine

14/02/14: Super Electric Party Machine puckered up for a powerful Valentine’s Day kiss that damn near caved in our foreheads! Larry Tee, AttackAttackAttack and the boys on da bloc hooked hems with some of fashion’s uber–rag stars, deck stars and drag stars to add a soundtrack to London’s Fashion Week that was more smashin’ fashion than catwalk couture.

Club captains Mr. Tee and Attack Attack Attack playing hits from their downloadable album, left no room on the dance floor for the ‘Boys that Go Woot’ while the back room was crammed with jams from designer-cum-DJ James Long and producer Maddy Endrighi with their blend of house and 80s pop they logically label: “Fabulousity!”

Dutch fashion funkmeister Sander Stenger of Supertrash fame added his own brand of extraterrestrial ambience to a crunchy crowd of club kids, glam whores and humpy homeys.

Highlight of the night was ‘Butch Queen fashion terrorist’ Ab Soto and her high-kickin sidekicks, Neil and Jono, took no prisoners with an all-out showstopping tour-de-force of her East LA meets East End greatest hits medley and hairflips to the left showing the surface dwellers how we do it down in the nitty-gritty.

A tech glitch cost us the Doppelgang DJs Chgo house mix but the night was saved by angel at the decks Joseph Icaro who jumped in the driver’s seat, grabbed the wheel and punched it hard until closing Lisbon DJ Gallak notched it up even higher til the very end.

Fashion trashin’ and booty bashin’ at East Bloc on Valentine’s Day. What a wonderful way to say “I fuckin love you, bitch!”
