Super Electric Party Machine

14/03/14: SEPM at EB opened the hatch of their subterrenean lair Friday night and let loose a whole tin of whoop-ass!

“We just enjoy giving people what they want and what we know they’ll like,” East Bloc manager Adele shrugged modestly as she, Larry Tee and Attack Attack Attack hurled a fistful of SEPM dynamite onto the dance floor with Jodie Harsh, Michael Stephens, Kassandra Powell and Jonathan Bestley that blew the uppity Old Street surface dwellers right outta their second-hand Pradas!

The night got weirder and wilder the way we like it with a ‘mummy burlesque’ by Resistance Gallery performance artist Dunja and an ‘Alice in Ga-Ga-land’ piece by Rodent De-cay.

We had the most fun squirming back ‘n’ forth between the two club rooms catching deep house beats from LT, AAA and Ms. Harsh, then the 80s pop and nu-disco grooves of MS, KP and Ms. Bestley and back again with breaks in-between to chat up coatroom cutie Fernando Iglesias.

One superdiva DJ even had her own boytoy drooling behind her decks. “I might fuck him later,” she batted her bat-wing lashes, “– if he’s lucky!” The rest of us lucky disco-bunnies wiggled out of the rabbit hole at dawn all sweaty and ready to spread the love to the weary norms on the tube.
