SUPER ELECTRIC PARTY MACHINE

22/06/13:  We knew playing with electricity would be dangerous but nothing could have prepared us for the shock of party power that super-charged us into the new week.

Last Sunday east London’s most renowned revellers ditched the roast dinner to feast upon a banquet of electronic beats, live treats and gay disco heat. Cooking up such a concoction of floor-stomping fun could be none other than the legendary Larry Tee who took rein over XOYO with his world famous Super Party Electric Machine.

Anthony McGinley aka AttackAttackAttack had the depths of the venue shacking from the start with a set of pumped-up electro and freshly made bootlegs, getting the crowd sweaty and ready for the array of live performances.

Mikey Woodbridge took to the stage and sent us to a state of euphoria with his striking voice that sliced into the down-tempo electronic grooves of his backing track.

Spoiling us with his feel-good fuzzy electro was SSION who’s colourful couture could only be matched by Glynn SinkThePink, who had every gay, girl and drag queen screaming out for more after performing his musical masterpiece (and dare we say soundtrack to our lives): Homosexuality!

With the likes of Salvador Darling and Kate Modern creating dance floor chaos that only Larry is capable of conducting, it would take something sharp and spectacular to penetrate the party.

It doesn’t get much sharper than Ru Paul’s Drag Race winner, Sharon Needles. The American drag queen superstar dragged and drew us to the edge of the stage while she performed tracks from her debut album PG-13.

This bombshell teased the ecstatic crowd with news of future tracks with Larry Tee himself, while fiercely flaunting everything that won her the winning title last year.

Needles says, ‘I don’t want a trick or treat, I just want a trick’, but this Super Electric Party Machine oozed with both and we’ll be coming back way before Halloween!
