27/07/12: So the previous night may have been the Olympics opening ceremony, but Saturday night saw the opening of our arms (and in some cases, our legs), for the warm welcoming return of club king SuperMartXé.
Despite globetrotting for a whole year, SuperMartXé proved they hadn’t lost their touch (or their six packs) with a spectacular return, this time to Brixton. The Electric proved a fresh change in venue, housing a hoard of hotness and hedonism, hosted by Julian Bennett.
It appears he had time to put down his wooden spoon and pick up a mic to introduce the glorious event, followed by SuperMartXé’s decadent dancers who put on a glamorous stage show – enacting an athletic Athens that would put the costumes and physiques of the 300 cast to shame.
The cavernous dance floor was transformed into a haven of topless hunks that enjoyed the beats of the renowned Hugo Sanchez, DJ Ferno, Tony English and Sharon O Love.
And after dancing with the capital’s finest cock-sure and cock-hungry clientele, come 7am it was a definite success for the Spanish club beast before we partied on into Sunday morning. After all, who needs beauty sleep when you look like us?
